# GetAbsolutePath Method (String, String)

**Applies to:** Customer's Canvas On-Premises; Design Atoms .NET 6.0.0, 6.x (may differ) · **Archived documentation**

Returns an absolute path for a value specified in a configuration parameter.

**Namespace:** [Aurigma.DesignAtoms.Configuration](https://customerscanvas.com/docs/cc6/N_Aurigma_DesignAtoms_Configuration.htm.md)
 **Assembly:** Aurigma.DesignAtoms (in Aurigma.DesignAtoms.dll)

## Syntax

```csharp
public static string GetAbsolutePath(string directoryPath,string pathParameter
)
```

### Parameters

 - directoryPath
     - Type: System.String
A string representing a relative path to a folder. This value may start with `~/`, `~\\`, or `..`.

 - pathParameter
     - Type: System.String
A string representing a file name.

## Remarks
 You can use this method to get an absolute path for a value defined by two parameters - a folder name and a file name. For example, for color profiles, you configure the **ColorProfilesDirectory** and **RgbColorProfileFileName** and can use this method to combine an absolute path to the specified profile.
