# PIM Module

> Customer's Canvas provides two approaches to create product for web-to-print systems.

The *Product Information Management Module* (PIM Module) is one of approaches of creating a product in Customer's Canvas.

The PIM Module allows you to create a product based on their characteristics, such as size or color. To learn how to create a product, read the [Creating Products](https://customerscanvas.com/docs/hub/admin-guide/pim/creating-products.md) article.

To add characteristics to a product, you need to define *options* and *option values*. For example, if your product is a brochure, your options may be `Form`, `Size`, and `Style`. For the `Size` option, the values may be `B-form` and `Z-form`. You can connect designs and mockups to your product. You can select what options and options values will represent an asset. To connect assets to your product, read [Connecting Assets to Product](https://customerscanvas.com/docs/hub/admin-guide/pim/connecting-assets-to-products.md) article.

Customer's Canvas allows you to connect PIM products to e-commerce systems or your custom storefronts. To do so, you can use *product links*. You may have several product links in one product for different storefront products. When you create a product link, you can select what options and values will be included. PIM products have Stock Keeping Units (SKU). This parameter allows customers to add a product to a cart. An SKU is added to a *product variant*.
