# Creating products

> This article describes the **Products** page where you can create and manage PIM products.

## Overview

On the **Products** page, you can see all your PIM products.

1. **ID** is the identifier of a product in Customer's Canvas. When your products have the same name, you can differ your products by this ID.
2. **Name** is the product name in Customer's Canvas, and it won't be available on your storefront.
3. **Variants** is the quantity of *product variants*. They are unique combinations of options and option values.
4. **Modified** is the date of the last modification of this product.

## Manipulating products

### Searching

To search a product, input a product name in the **Search by name** field.

### Sorting

You can sort your products by a latest modified date or by a product name. For this, hover the pointer over the **Modified** or **Name**. When an arrow appears, click the title to sort your products.

## Deleting

To delete a product, click the ellipsis in a product row and select **Delete**.

Now let's consider what are products in the PIM module and create one.

## Creating a new product

Let's learn how to create a *product* in Customer's Canvas that will represent one or more products in the storefront.

A product contains:

- A name, a description, a personalization workflow, and a processing pipeline.
- Options and option values. They configure the product.
- Product variants. They are the combination of all the options and all the values.
- Designs and mockups. They are represent product variants.
- Connections to a storefront and a product in that storefront.

To create a product, navigate to **Products** and click **Create new**.

When a new page opens, you can see the tabs to define a product. Let's observe the **General** tab.

1. **Name**. Input a name for the product in this input field. You can find this product on the **Product** page using this name. This name is available only in BackOffice, it isn't available on your storefront.
2. **Description**. Here you can add a description of this product that is available only in BackOffice. You may use it to add some notes about the product.
3. **Personalization workflow**. A *personalization workflow* defines how a personalization process will be displayed for a customer. To learn more about workflows, read the [Workflows](https://customerscanvas.com/docs/hub/admin-guide/workflows.md) section.
4. **Processing pipeline**. A *processing pipeline* defines a process of generating a print-ready file and possible further steps. In this drop-down list, select a pipeline for your product.

To save a product, click **Save**. After saving, you can see your product on the **Products** page.
