Creating design elements
In this section, you will learn how to create design elements in InDesign for Customer's Canvas. Here, you have three design element types: text, images, and shapes.
Customer's Canvas supports properties of InDesign elements in one of the following ways:
Out-of-the-box properties. You can import your IDML file, open this file in the Design Editor, and you see these properties in proper way.
Applied by markers. They are special symbols that you add to the object name in InDesign. To read more about markers, see the Marker Reference references.
If you use on-premises version of the Design Editor, you can only set up the design elements behavior by markers. In the cloud version, it's recommended to work with the design elements behavior in Template Editor.
