In this section, you will consider the features of thumbnail and preview mockups and learn how to create them. To learn what thumbnail and preview mockups are, see the Concepts article.
Here, you will see similarities and differences between these types in detail.
Displaying a design in perspective
Customer's Canvas allows you to create thumbnail and preview mockups depending on your creative ideas and your product.
Both thumbnail and preview mockups can display a design:
In perspective. Such mockups can contain transformations like warp, perspective, distortion, nested smart objects, and include blending modes. For example, such products can be a bottle label, a cup, a box, and so on.
Without distortions and transformations. You can create such mockups to represent print products such as menus, brochures, business cards, and so on.
Note
The process of creating these mockups is the same. You can use the guides in this section for creating both a thumbnail mockup and a preview mockup. They differ only in the recommended dimensions.
Dimensions
Preview mockups and thumbnail mockups have different recommended dimensions.
A preview mockup is from 1000px
to 1200px
on the longest side, and a thumbnail mockup is from 500px
to 600px
on the longest side.
You can use a preview mockup as a thumbnail mockup and vice versa. They will work properly, but the size will affect the processing time.
