Image resolution

Image resolution describes the amount of image detail available at a specified output size, commonly expressed in pixels per inch for raster artwork.

A raster image can have enough pixels for one print size but not a larger one. Preflight can check resolution against configured production requirements; the required value depends on the printing process.
