Variable data printing (VDP)

Also known as: VDP

Variable data printing (VDP) is a printing method that produces individual pieces with changing text, images, or barcodes from a shared design template and a data set.

Each data record supplies values for the template's variable fields, while the remaining design stays the same. Examples include personalized letters, invitations, labels, and numbered items. Design Editor can be used to prepare or personalize designs, with output generation integrated into a Customer's Canvas Hub or Customer's Canvas On-Premises solution.
